Fortnite Season 8 Week 2 Challenges And How To Complete Them

Check Out Fortnite Season 8 Week 3 Challenges
Fortnite Season 8 Week 2 Challenges are now live! With this weeks come some traditional challenges, and some new challenges. Personally, I am not overly crazy over the different stage challenges, but to each their own. I mostly am not a fan of them because they seem to take longer than the others. Like this week, in the free challenges section, it requires you to land at the block and then four other locations. I guess, though, them requiring you to play more than one game is sort of the whole idea behind it so it makes sense in that regard.
At any rate, there’s three free challenges this week, and four battle pass required challenges. The battle pass, at the end of the day, is going to be worth the $10 that you have to spend for the V-Bucks so we highly recommend purchasing it; especially if you like skins. If nothing else, if you’re not going to purchase it, you can at least follow this guide to help you mess with people that are trying to complete the challenges. Sometimes, you just need to have a little bit of chaos!

How To Land At The Block, Dusty, Polar, Snobby, Paradise
This challenge is going to be pretty easy to complete, but is going to take a few cracks at it. You’re going to have to do these in order, each stage is a specific location. The order is as follows: The Block, Dusty Divot, Polar Peak, Snobby Shores, and then finally Paradise Palms. I am unsure if re-deploy will count as “landing”. If not, just choose one of these each game.
Landing at The Block, you can quickly rotate into the northernmost point of the map allowing you complete ¼ of that challenge as well. As always, we recommend trying to pair fortnite challenges with multiple challenges in each match for maximum efficiency. That is, of course, if you’re trying to finish them as quickly as possible. If not, go at your own pace and enjoy them.
How To Deal Damage To Descending Supply Drops?
Dealing damage to Supply Drops is something that generally happens naturally, without you even realizing that you’re doing it. That said, with it actually being a challenge this week, it may take a few games to actually find a supply drop. Given that more people are going to be aware of their presence, they’re going to be dropping like flies.
There’s not much to be said about this one other than keep your eyes out for the falling balloons in the sky, and make sure you pounce on them as soon as you see them. Otherwise, it may take you the entire night of gaming on Fortnite (oh wow, poor you), to complete this challenge.
Eliminations At Salty Springs Or Haunted Hills
Depending on your abilities in Fortnite, this could be either hard or fairly easy. This is going to require you to kill ten opponents at either Haunted Hills, or Salty Springs. You better believe that these locations are going to be popping on the map, so it shouldn’t be too hard to find people. If you’re not too comfortable with your play, you can try landing at an outside location and then rotating into either Salty Springs or Haunted Hills to be the clean-up crew.
How To Gain Health From Apples, Campfires, and Medkits
Typically, unless you’re a god at the game, you’re going to be healing in Fortnite. With that being said, make sure you’re keeping track of what healing items you run by, and what you have in your inventory to complete this challenge more quickly. It DOES have to be completed in stages. The stages are as follows:
- Stage 1 of 3 – Gain Health From Apples 0/25
- Stage 2 of 3 – Gain health from Campfires 0/50
- Stage 3 of 3 – Gain health from Medkits (0/75)
- Stage 2 of 3 – Gain health from Campfires 0/50
The trickiest part of this is going to be actually having the necessary items when you’re on each stage. For the apples that is easy. After your first engagement (we recommend retail row for this one), you’re likely going to be hurting. Go eat 5 apples, and you’re good to go to the next stage of the challenge. The campfires will likely end up being the hardest stage here simply because you may not end up finding one for a few games.
How To Visit The Furthest North, South, East, and West Points Of The Island
It is highly unlikely you’re going to be able to complete this challenge in one swing given how spread out they are and the nature of Fortnite’s circles. However, we do recommend pairing these with other challenges along the way for maximum efficiency. You will simply need to walk up to the sign, and you will be given credit for the challenge. Below, is a list of pictures with detailed locations for each sign.
The furthest Northern point of Fortnite is going to be found North East of Junk Junction.
The furthest Southern point of Fortnite is going to be found just below Lucky Landing.
The furthest Eastern point of Fortnite is going to be located below the Hero Mansion of the previous season, near the race track AKA GUS.
The furthest Western point of Fortnite will be located outside of Snobby Shores.
How To Deal 100 Damage To An Opponent With A Pirate Cannon
This is the challenge that I had the most fun doing, and it requires the newly added Fortnite Pirate Cannon that you’ve had so much fun using this past week. I suppose the hardest part about actually getting this challenge done is going to be availability of the pirate cannons.
We recommend heading to the Pirate Camps, located below, to complete this challenge. They’re going to have the most pirate cannons available to players, and you better believe that these areas are going to be jam-packed until next week’s challenges are revealed. That said, you should probably land at one of these pirate camps to ensure that you actually get one.
If you’re not going to land at one of these locations, you can attempt to take the other approach which will require you to camp up slightly, with your cannon. You can either wait for someone to rotate into you, or you can wait for a fight to start up and bombard them with cannons. Keep in mind, though, that you are limited on cannons so you really need to make the shots count towards the challenge completion. AKA, hit your cannon balls!
How To Search A Chest In Different Named Locations In A Single Match
Completing this challenge will likely take a few tries unless you’re landing in a remote location, away from the drop. If you’re trying to complete it as quickly as possible, we highly recommend taking that approach. Bus flying Southwest to Northeast? Take a hike up to Junk Junction. There’s going to be 10 chests there that you’ll be able to get all to yourself. From there, you can then rotate into the Northernmost point of the island and complete that challenge as well.
Otherwise, you’re going to need to be dropping in Tilted Towers, Pleasant Park, or Retail Row and come out the victor. If you don’t come out the victor, you’re going to obviously have to start from scratch because they have to be opened in a single match much like the previous season ammo box challenges. If nothing else, you’re going to have a lot of fun hot-dropping and fighting.
Keep in mind when choosing your location, though, that you make sure the location is actually named. It can’t be a fan-made name, it has to be physically written on the map. Junk Junction, Pleasant Park, Retail Row, Tilted Towers, Summer Steps, etc. You get the picture!
