Wraith Guide

Wraith Abilities:
“Wraith is exactly what her name depicts. She is a swift executioner that has the ability to manipulate space-time by opening rifts in reality. She has absolutely no idea where these abilities came from, or what happened to her. Years ago, she woke in an IMC Detention Facility for the mentally ill with no memory of her past life. A distance voice began whispering within her mind that would keep her awake, days on end. Through days, and weeks on the brink of insanity, she eventually began to accept, and trust the voice. This voice, is the voice that helped her harness and fully master the manipulation of space-time.
Determined to uncover her true identity, Wraith began a quest to find out more about the experiments. Many of the old research facilities, however, are buried beneath heavily guarded arenas used for the Apex Games. Now Wraith has joined the competition, and with every match she gets closer to the truth.” – Apex Legends

How To Use Best Use Wraith’s Passive Voices From The Void
Wraith’s Passive, voices from the void is pretty straight-forward, and there isn’t much to be said about it. It is exactly how it sounds. When an enemy player aims at you, Wraith (or the voice in her head), will make a team-wide callout, that she is being aimed at. This is great for alerting your teammates that someone is aware of your location. Additionally, it will alert you when you’re near Caustic’s nox gas traps, and i would imagine any other traps in the future that may or may not be added.
How To Use Wraith’s Tactical Ability Into The Void
Wraith’s tactical ability, Into The Void is a fantastic ability that is the most important part of her kit. This ability will allow you to temporarily enter the void. When you enter the void, you actually become invulnerable temporarily.
The invulnerability, can be used to be overly-aggressive. In conjunction with her Ultimate, Dimensional Rift, Wraith can become a super quick in-and-out assassin, being a major pest to opposing enemy players. Something to note, is that while you have your Dimensional Rift activated, you can actually activate Into The Void allowing you to move super fast while being invulnerable. Generally speaking, though, you want to use the two separately so you have more choices if you do actually run into trouble. However, it’s always there as a back-up plan.
As mentioned, it can be used incredibly well as an offensive ability. You can effectively use it to block shots. Hit a nice shotty shot and need to reposition? Pop Into The Void, reposition, and take the shot you want to take. It’s very good for pushing people camping in houses as well, especially if the door is open. Special note, you cannot open doors while in the void, so if you’re going to take this route, make sure the door is open to the building you’re pushing. Pair Into The Avoid up with Bangalore’s smoke launcher, and you’re going to quite literally be a Wraith.
Defensively, this ability is a no brainer, and typically how it used more often than not. With re-positioning, and healing in the game being so well done, the need to reset fights is super important. This is quite possibly the best ability in the game for resetting a fight. Pair this with her ultimate (the increased speed – make sure you use into the void AFTER you pop dimensional rift if you want to use them together), will allow you to get out of any situation. On top of the speed from her ultimate, we highly recommend using slide + jump down hills while this ability is active to further your distance.
Overall, Into The Void is hands down one of the best abilities in the game, and the reason behind the Wraith’s success.
How To Use Wraith’s Ultimate Dimensional Rift
Wraith’s ultimate, Dimensional Rift is an ability that creates two portals, that are connected. You can enter these portals, to travel distances more quickly. Your teammates are able to enter these portals as well. It is more often than not used personally, and not for the team. I imagine this will change a lot in a competitive setting, but right now it is certainly used more selfishly, and rightfully so. In conjunction with Into The Void, it’s the best way to escape any bad situation that you’re going to run into.
I would imagine in a more competitive setting, Wraith is going to act as more of a scout than anything. With her ability to use Dimensional Rift, the two other teammates can stay a little bit behind while she portals towards the circle essentially scouting, and letting the team know if it is safe to take the portal or not.
This thought process leads to another use of Dimensional Rift: setting portals for pure safety in case a fight goes south. This is a huge benefit to have on your team. It’s basically a get out of jail free card, especially if you setup the rift prior to engaging a fight. Dimensional Rift is a channel that you can cancel at any time. It starts at 100%, and runs to 0%, but you can left click at any point within the countdown to open the portal more quickly. This can open up a lot of different cheeky plays. I’m sure at one point or another, you’re going to be playing portal footsie with an opposing player. It’s one hell of a ride.
Additionally, you can always use the extra movement speed to simply be more aggressive. It’s fairly straight forward: pop Dimensional Rift, and gain a more proper position to engage on your enemy. As we always like to mention, being more aggressive is generally more beneficial to you than being defensive. This is only true when you and your other teammates are on the same page. So, if you’re going to try and run solo into three people because you just read that bit, think again. Although, if you’re Wraith, you can just simply Dimensional Rift and Into The Void your way out of it ;).

Ideal Legends To Pair With Wraith
Wraith is definitely a hyper-aggressive carry, that plays well with other hyper-aggressive carries. We highly recommend pairing her with Bangalore, Bloodhound, and Lifeline. Bangalore and Bloodhound have the ability to stick with her, and they all synergize extremely well. Using Bloodhound’s ult, allows you to see through Bangalore’s Smoke Launcher while giving cover to Wraith’s Dimensional Rift. The opportunities are endless. The only thing missing, is you playing the game and getting better ;).
